Mary Ellen Jones, also known as “MEJ,” is a senior Aerospace Industry executive and Board Director who brings more than 30 years of experience in the Commercial Aviation and Aerospace sectors. MEJ is a recognized industry leader who has worked with airline customers around the world and secured commercial engine sales and maintenance agreements valued at more than $10 billion.
Mary Ellen recently retired from jet engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney (P&W), where she served as Vice President, Asia-Pacific Sales from 2018-2022. Before that she led sales for North and South America, and also headed P&W’s global Commercial Engines Customer Support organization.
MEJ was previously president of the Engine Alliance, the 50/50 joint venture between Pratt & Whitney and GE Aviation. She has led P&W’s Marketing organization and worked for three years in Toulouse, France directing P&W’s operations at Airbus headquarters. Her other experience includes six years in Washington, DC in Government Relations.
Mary Ellen currently works as a strategic advisor to Krauthamer & Associates (K&A), a leading retained executive search & advisory firm, and to JetZero, a start-up airplane manufacturer that is developing a blended-wing body aircraft for commercial and military applications. She is on the board of the Connecticut Airport Authority, which sets strategy for Bradley International Airport and five general aviation airports in the state, is past president of the Wings Club Foundation, serves as treasurer and a member of the Board of Trustees of Airlink, and sits on the International Aviation Women’s Association Advisory Board.
A graduate of Michigan State University and Johns Hopkins University, Mary Ellen lives in Connecticut with her husband Steve.
